Justin Shnayder,
Founder

About Justin

As a dedicated environmental activist, Justin Shnayder has been involved in many projects dedicated to the discipline. Some of his projects, besides Erasing E-Waste, include:

-- President of the Environmental Sustainability Club at Staten Island Technical HS, in which he encouraged his peers to make environmentally conscious decisions and provided them with volunteering opportunities 

-- Assisting in the construction of a fully-functional, self sustaining greenhouse at Staten Island Technical HS
-- Leading peers through the NYC GreenThumb program, in which he educated his fellow classmates regarding the importance of sustainability through gardening

- Studying perovskite solar cell technology at the Garcia Center for Polymers at Engineered Interfaces and presenting said research to a panel of 20,000+ students at the Fall 2021 International Materials Research Society Symposium.

Justin will be attending UPenn in the fall of 2022, where he will pursue a dual degree in Mathematical Economics and Systems Engineering. He will graduate from Staten Island Tech as the saludatorian. He has been recognized as a Coca-Cola Scholar (0.15% acceptance rate + $20,000), National-Merit Winner (0.5% acceptance rate + $10,000), US Presidential Scholar Candidate, 18x Science Olympiad Medalist, AIME Qualifier, amongst other accolades.

Alexandra Shakhnazarov,

About Alexandra 

As a dedicated environmental activist, Lexi has been involved in many projects dedicated to the discipline. Some of her projects, besides Erasing E-Waste, include:

-- President of the Environmental Sustainability Club at Staten Island Technical HS, in which she encouraged his peers to make environmentally conscious decisions and provided them with volunteering opportunities 

-- Assisting in the construction of a fully-functional, self sustaining greenhouse at Staten Island Technical HS, through use of AutoCAD programs.

- Internship with the ACLU where she examined the intersectionality of law and environment through an interdisciplinary approach.

Lexi will be attending NYU's Gallatin School in the fall of 2022. She will graduate in the top 10% of Staten Island Tech's graduating class. She has been recognized with numerous accolades, including being named a National Merit Scholar (0.5% acceptance rate + $2,500).
